Question about 2000 Chevrolet Lumina
I financed a 2000 Chevy Lumina through GMAC and paid it off. Now I can't get the lien removed off the title because GMAC won't send me a letter to take to the DMV. I have sent GMAC, PO Box 85616, Richmond, VA 23285
two certified letters and gotten no response in the last two months. How do I get the lien removed?
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: My 1990 Chevy Lumina won't start
well hear comes the calvery. just kidden. i'll try to help, first, the best thing to do is fuel pressure chk. fuel pumps can sound like there working but there not. you can rent one at autozone and do it your self. its the only true way to tell if your pump is bad or good. your car has to have a certain amount of fuel pressure to run, autozone can tell you how much, and also show you how and where to hook it up. Good for you for wanting to do it yourself. just a few things you should know before you tackel this project. first get all the gas you can out of the tank, at about 8 pounds a gal. you don't need any extra weight. secound get someone to help you, its always best to have someone around even if its just for moral support, but more than that it can be a little ocward, and the extra hand dosent hurt either. and third the higher in the air the better hoist would be perfect. don't be intimidated by what i have said here, this is the worst case senareo if pump is bad. it not that hard and the more help you got the easier it is. heck it might not even be the pump, and all this pecking might be for nothing. hope everything works out for you. OLD SCHOOL.

You may have picked up some debris and/or water when it ran out of gas. That got sucked up into the filter. Try changing the fuel filter I believe it's located on the right side, just ahead of the rear wheel.
Try that and see if there's any improvment. Hope this helps.

The D inside of an O is for overdrive. It is an automatic overdrive transmission. There isn't an overdrive button on it. If you want to disable the overdrive you have to shift down a gear.

Support the car very securely first of all
Remove the negative cable from the battery
Remove the wires from the starter
Remove the two bolts from the starter going upward to the engine block
Wiggle the starter out
Reverse this proceedure to reinstall

It is located in the gas tank, you will need to remove the sending unit at the top fo the tank. To access the sending unit, you will need to drop the tank by removing the straps. It is a big tank so drain as much as possible and disconnect the batter before you start.
Hope this helps
