Im looking for the raido code for my vw golf,,,, i changed the battery the other day and i need the code for the radio to work ,,, does any 1 no where i could get the code ..... its a gamma radio serial...

If it is a factory radio, you can contact a VW dealer(I think you need the VIN# also)and they will provide the code for free.Write down the code and method because anytime the battery gets disconnected that will happen and it does get disconnected for some problem checkouts other than battery or alternator.
Good luck! Greg

I have a vw golf mk iv,starts and drives ok ,but on idle its starts to rev up and down most times it cuts out altgather.gary

Have it scanned from a shop that specializes in VW's and get the best guestimates of what's happening with the system. Now if you have the codes already, interpreting what it means is a different story and probably able to suggest you the corrections right away.

You need to call the dealership to get the unlock code. They are going to need proof of ownership.

a lot of the vw cars don't have coded radios but in the case that you do loose it call your local dealership and have your chassis number and number plate and they should give it to you over the phone....but i dont think it will come to that..goodluck
