Something wrong with your electrical connection. turn light switch on and off for so many times. also the horn switch on and off. if not corrected, check the wiring inside the steering wheel.

What would cause the horn of a car to go off unexpectedly?

a horn pad problem on the steering wheel can cause this but its rare to happen on any Mazda car. a horn relay that has shorted out will cause this to happen. you will have to find the relay and pull it out the horn will stop.

Cannot locate horn

IF horn is going off then it is not your horn.
most likely your horn pad switch sticking this requires airbag to be removed to replace.
if it is going off and lights flashing then you may have a security issue
