I have code p0449 what is the problum

p0449 is EVAP (Evaporative Emission System) purge/vent solenoid circuit condition

possible causes are-- purge or vent valves are defective, check connector and wiring, fuel saturated vapor canister, Failed EVAP vent solenoid. plus check all hoses good. check for a bad fuel cap seal. remove cap and replace it, erase code and see if it comes back. go to this site maybe it will help you. www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=40659

Van runs rough like not gettin enough fuel gives me a p0440 evap code

That is an evap emissions code. Since that is an emissions code I would check your catalytic converter. I hope this helps you out.

P0455 and p0442

p0455-- emission control system ( a large leak ) the most common cause is a bad seal on fuel cap, remove and replace cap, if light stats on. replace cap. if not the cap it could be any where in emission system. p0442 is--same as above. Code p0442 indicates a fuel vapor leak in the EVAP control system. To fix this problem, remove and reinstall the gas cap. Clear the codes and drive to see if the codes reappear. If the code appears again replace the gas cap or inspect the system for cuts or holes in the tube or hose. good-day !

My 2007 Chevy Avalanche failed the emission test with the code of P0455 what is the problem?

It is probably the evap vent valve. A new vent solenoid valve has been redesigned to correct the problem you are having. I would recommend purchasing the dealer component.
I hope this helps.

I have honda odyssey and the service engin coms on and the cod is p1456 so ineed to figur out thanks.

This probably means:
  • P1456: Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System)
  • Usually this is because your gas cap was not fully tightened. Be sure to turn it until you hear a click.
  • After you tighten the cap, it might take a couple days of driving before the light goes-out.
  • Be careful to tighten your gas cap regularly, because otherwise it puts a heavy strain on your emission system.

Emission test coe PO455

The missing ABS fuse will not set this code as ABS is not part of the emissions system. This code is caused by a leak in the EVAP system. Replacing the fuel cap is probably the cheapest solution if you're lucky. Very rarely will the cap be bad. You'll need to check the entire EVAP system for leaks, loose connections, bad hoses etc. The main problem that will trip this code is the EVAP control solenoid. If after checking the system you find no bad hoses or other obvious leaks you'll need to replace the EVAP solenoid.

The solenoid is located under the car behind the fuel tank on the rear cross member. It looks like a little black boc with an electrical connector and two hoses coming from it. Good luck.

I had two problems posted for my Ford Explorer 1998 P1400 Differential Press Feedback EGR Circuit low input Po455 Mod $10 3/4 EVAP EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK (LARGE) How can I fix it and how can I go...

CODE PO455 EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM LEAK DETECTED.POSSIBLE CAUSE - CANISTER VENT SOLENOID STUCK OPEN OR.FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR HAS FAILED MECHANICALLY.OR BAD FUEL CAP. CODE PO1400 -DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE FEED BACK EGR SENSOR CIRCUIT LOW VOLTAGE DETECTED.POSSIBLE CAUSE -DPF EGR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND OR DPF EGR SIGNAL VREF CIRCUIT OPEN OR DPF EGR SENSOR IS DAMAGED OR HAS FAILED.I WOULD HAVE GARAGE OR DEALERSHIP TO USE THEIR DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT TO CHECK OUT YOUR EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM.AND EGR VALVE BECAUSE PARTS IS TOO EXPENSIVE TO BUY.IF YOU DONT NEED THEM.SEE YOU CAN REPLACE THE DPF EGR SENSOR AND THE CANISTER VENT SOLENOID.BUT IT COULD BE A LEAKING GAS CAP OR SOMETHING ELSE.SO LET GARAGE CHECK IT OUT.TO BE ON SAFE SIDE.NOW YOU CAN BUY THOSE 2 SENSORS AND IT COULD FIX YOUR RIDE.I KNOW MONEY IS TIGHT ECONOMY IS IN BAD SHAPE.

Failed smog inspection due to fuel cap. SEEMS SO SIMPLE. AM I REALLY ONLY GOING TO REPLACE THE FUEL CAP?

Yes. The evaporative emission system is comprised of a cannister to capture and store gas vapors, a purge valve solenoid that opens when certain engine conditions are met, and purges the vapors from the cannister to be burned in the combustion process rather than being released into the atmosphere, A key component of this system is the plain, old ordinary gas cap. If the cap was faulty it could cause problems in the evap system, which apparently caused you to fail the smog test. Hope this helped and best wishes.
