Try depressing the gas pedal once before cranking. If it fires right up then replace the fuel filter. If not then you may need to replace the cam sensor.

Sounds like you could possibly have a sticking evap purge solenoid. This is located under the hood and allows the engine to pull the fuel tank into a vacuum to test for leaks. If it is sticking or leaking, it will essentially cause a small-to-moderate vacuum leak. The easiest way to test it is with a hand-powered vacuum pump.

My cam sensor is sick. '92 lesabre. Car is running ok . How long will it last until I have to replace it?

Well, a sensor either works or it doesn't much like a light switch in your house. If you have one that is failing from time to time, there is no way to tell when it will fail completely.

My heat just stopped working on 2000 Lesabre. What are some possible causes of this

One or more of:

1. Your coolant level is low
2. Your thermostat doesn't close and needs to be replaced
3. The valve from the cooling system to the heater core is stuck
4. Your heater core is clogged

Maint required light flashing 10 times when I start a car 2000 acura rl 181000 miles I had a tune-up & oil change 1 month ago, car runs perfect

These happens every "scheduled maintenance" milage. Pretty soon it will come on and stay on.

On a 1999, if you hold in the milage reset buttons and turn on the key to 2nd position, the maintenance light will go out.

Wide tires make less gas millage, get narrow wheels, let the car accomplish speed slowly from 0 to 30, look at air filter,if shortly replaced, oxygen censor, 15 miles is normal 16 miles per gallon is good for a V8

2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!

Sticking gas pedal on 1999 buick LeSABRE

actually my dad had the same problem with the gas pedal sticking on his low milage 1999 Buick LeSabre. As a result of this problem, he was involved in a wreck and the car was totaled. We have been told by his mechanic that this is a problem with that year of LaSabre.
