Either the headlamp switch is bad or the DRL module? I would have a qualified shop check it for you and recommend repairs, you dont want to guess and pay for uneeded parts.

I have a 2000 lumina, hated my day time running lights, took a couple hours to figure it out ,if you truck is similar there is a specfic fuse for them mine was in a fuse panel located on the side of the dash panel on the passenger side, you can only see it when the door is open, look in your manual for fuse locations, the only other thing would be a relay stuck closed or the main headlight on off switch on the dash is malfunctioning, another thing i notice with my chevy is once in a while i shut it off and remove the key,and my stereo will still be on ,so i grab the ignition and move it a little and it locks in the off position and then everything is off,you have the same ignition,it may be doing something similar and you just arent seeing obvious sighns ,pull the ignition fuse instead of the headlight fuse,if they go off ,the ignition might be the problem

I want to know how to wire esuse day lights to a mazda cx 5 2014 model

You will need a relay, capable of handling 10A, a breaker (or fuse) that is also 10A, and some automotive power wire of at least 14 awg.
Run a wire from the positive (+) side of your battery (at the starter solenoid if you can access it), to one side of the breaker, and run the other side of the breaker to the primary side of the relay. Shelter all exposed terminals from contacting the chassis. The relay output wires directly to the positive side of the daytime running lights (with the - side of the daytime running lights to chassis for ground), one side of the relay coil to any ignition-switched power source (solenoid ignition connection will work), and the other side of the relay coil goes to chassis ground.
The daytime running lights will automatically turn on when you turn your ignition key on, and will turn off when you turn the key. Using this relay arrangement helps isolate them from other circuits, which they may otherwise overload.

My high beam light is flashing on and off in day but when I turn the lights on it goes off. Also, I now have now day time running lights.

Daytime running Light module is overheating / it reduces power to low beam to create daytime running light . Ask yourself do I need this - If no law against it = UNPLUG control module . Your low beams will operate normal by turning on switch - Lever / Turn switch will turn on Highbeams but this switch can be Lose internally and Only cure is replace Signal Light Steering wheel switch . Common issue for all Cars is switch stalk / Lever is worn out by Aggressive use. If your car has Automatic light control - re they turn off after 30 second delay when you exit car - Try putting switch in manual mode means you Turn on - off by switch . But I really feel signal stalk is worn . DRCM is a known issue that can be unplugged . Final cheap solution unplug both high beams an Drive on low beam . $$$$$$$ spent chasing small problem will destroy $$$ needed for Bigger issues .

Day time running lights stay on when ignition is turned off

do not know the kind of car, but on my expedition there is a fuse that just runs the daytime lights, I removed it and now the lights only come on when I turn them on and off when I turn them off, check your owners manual for the correct fuse, this fuse was in the fusebox under the hood, good luck.

Well I have a 1998 GMC Suburban SLT that has a problem I have to jumpstart twice a day or whenever i shut the car off I replaced all the wireing (except the battery cables) got a new altanator and new fuse...

Simply put it sounds like you have something draining the battery, the daytime running lights came out way before 2001. I have a 98 and there are daytime running lights on mine. When the vehicle is running there should be a green light in your cluster in the top left corner, that comes on whenever you start the truck. that signal also will shut off when you actually turn your headlights on. if there are any accessories plugged in or running live, lights, amp/subs, xm radio, car charger for a cell phone. Anything like this could be draining the battery, along with interior light left on. Check everything make sure all is either unplugged, disconnected, or turned off. That should about solve the problem... hopefully. Good Luck!

Your daytime running light module is burned out. Unplug or replace it. Usually its located near/ behind the passenger side headlight.

Daytime running lights not working

There should be a relay on your drive side fender under the hood check to see if it's unplugged, I had reverse prob. mine wouldn't turn off so i unplugged it, the relay to get was more money than i thought it was worth so i turn my lights on when i start the truck.
