The clicking sound you hear is a heater relay which needs to be replaced. drive to any autozone store where you can purchase a new relay and they will even install it for u.

Heat not working; my blower comes on but its not hot air, any ideas?

The temperature blend door is stuck on the A/C side ! Do you hear a clicking noise behind the dash ? Has an electrical controlled actuator that switches a door inside heater - A/C box from A/C to Heat . So the blower is blowing air over the A/C evaporator core all the time , not switching !

How do I get the front heater to produce warm, hot heat from the blower? for 2003 kia sedona

If the heater hoses for the front heater are getting hot, it could be a blend door problem under the dash.

Heater blowing but no heat

Are both heater hoses getting hot ? And is the cooling system full of liquid ? It could be a blend door problem under the dash.

Hearter temp control was blowing too hot, now only blows cold

Clicking sound you hear is the worn brushes in your blower motor. At this point the blower moter may or may not start with the switch. THe blower motor is faulty so I would change that first, then check for vacuum leaks or faulty selector cable for the heat blend door. It could have came off door side or heater control side.

Clicking in dash and no hot air

Blower motor worn and weak, taking time to actually start due to worn out brushes in the blower motor. Change the blower motor. The clicking that you hear is actually the springs that provide tension on the brushes. Sounds like the brushes have fell out, leaving only the springs to provide the needed voltage. Springs rubbing the contacts will sound like a slow click click click at first, but will speed up as the motor shaft starts spinning faster.

Blower comes on but no heat comes out

If the blower is blowing air just fine, but you cannot control the temperature, you need to listen to air coming from the vents while turning the temperature from hot to cold. If you do n ot hear any change in airflow, then you may a temperature door in the dash broken. this is becoming a common problem on the Equinox

Heater stopped putting out heat, blower works fine air conditioning works fine

What you are saying is when you turn knob to hot you don't get any heat.? Let's start with the basics. Make sure your cooling system is filled up with coolant. Then with the engine warmedup and the temp gauge on the dash indicating between H and C. Find your heater hoses under the hood and feel them. Are they BOTH very warm or hot? os is only 1 warm and the other cool? If both are warm/hot, and still not getting heat from your vents. You have a problem with either the temp controller or the blends doors under the dash. usually the blend doors and it requires removal of the dashboard to get to it. If the heater hoses are wrm and cold then you may have a plugged heater core or water pump not circulating properly.

This sounds like one of two things, either there is not enough coolant in the system, or the heater control system is messed up. try this, with your car running at about 205 degrees (feel the upper radiator hose, it should be hot to the touch) grab both of the hoses going into the heater core behind the engine, the should be warm to hot. if they're not warm at all, or just luke warm, you either don't have enough coolant, or the hoses are blocked somewhere. if there is a valve in line with one of the hoses, try to operate it by hand, sometimes those valves (called heater valves) fail.

if the coolant is full and there is hot coolant in both hoses going into the heater core, then you're controls inside are likely the problem. try to turn the heat control from cold to hot and back again a few times, you should be able to hear a clapping sound,it might be very faint, so listen carefully. if you can't hear anything, it's likely the controls itself, unless you hear a hissing sound from behind the dash when you turn the control, that would be a vaccuum line unhooked. you'll have to pull some panels under the dash to find this vaccuum line to hook it up, but it's not too hard , just takes patience. (it's more common for a heater control to go first)
