Thw window either came off the window slider or the slider bracket, this can be determined by removing the door panel. this could also be cable driven and the cable has disconnected or broke, can also be determined by removing door panel.

1997 Honda Acord. Where is the motor located for the drivers side electric window? Window goes down, will not go up!

the motor is located inside the door. The inside cover of the door and the handle needs to be removed. Generally a screw is located in the handle and along the bottom of the door. Then it pops off with plastic clips, some effort will be required to pop the plastic clips. The rubber slides may require some vaseline or the track needs adjustment inside

My interior light stayed on while i was driving and would finally go off after an indeterminate amount of time, i removed fuse. at the same time my power windows stopped working in the vehicle and the...

you have a problem with a component known as the body control module(BCM) which control the functions of different accessories such as interior lights, windows and any other pwr options that the vehicle was equipped with from the manufacturer. it is located under the drivers kick panel just to the left of the brake pedal. any attempt to repair this component by anyone other than a trained professional could result in damage to the cars computer(ECU). these components depend on each other for proper electrical information and could cause irreversible damage and lots of money to replace if not properly serviced.

My drivers side window goes down when i start it.

ok, this sounds like either a faulty window switch from getting wet when it got rained on or a short in the wiring between drivers door and frame.

My guess that the wiring between the drivers door opening and frame---from opening and closing door---could have pinched or rubbed between door and frame causing it to ground out when starting the car making window switch go crazy-----even if replaced with new window switch wont solve this problem.

Check the wiring comming out of drivers door going to hole in frame toward under the dashboard and see if there is any pinched or rubbed through wiring there---move wires to avoid pinching and rubbing and tape with black electrical tape.

Alot of vehichles with electric door locks and windows had this problem.

Some vehichles are so bad that windows go up and down while driving and door locks locking and unlocking too----Just like a "Devil" posessed vehichle----lol

Drivers side door wont open from inside, window problems

It is most likely a rod has fallen off inside the door. You may have to use a coat-hanger to read down inside and pull back on door latch to open it up.
Then after it is opened, remove screws on inner door panel, remove window/lock controls, take a big flat-head screwdriver and gently pry next to the plastic tabs holding on door panel. Remove door panel and put window back on track , and replace or reattach door handle rods.

Door lock assembly fell inside door

The same thing happened to my 2006 Aveo. Once you do the above find the lock and the screw that holds it in (they will both be in the bottom of the door). Put the lock back in place, put blue Loctite on the screw and screw it back in place and this problem will not repeat itself.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. If needed, you can pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything inside the door
