Timing belt

Nancy, the Honda recommendations are to change belt 100,000 Km/ 60000 miles or every 7 years which ever occurs first. So if timing belt has not been changed, YES change it. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

Illustrations of removal of power steering pump on

Here is a good link. Check out the video. Changing the pump is a pretty simple task, especially if you bought the pump with a new pulley. If you only have the pump you will need a pulley removal/installation tool. Check your belts to see if they need replacing because now would be a good time to do it since they have to come off to take off the power steering pump.

I have 203 Honda accord EX v4. it reached 80000 miles. Is there any big maintenace that i have to do at 80k. Or Just oil change is good enough??

I think a lot Honda's require the timing belt to be changed around 80,000 to 100,000 miles. This something that you should not ignore, if the belt breaks the valves will hit the pistons and cause major damage.

Need instructions how to change timing belt on 2003 honda accord

Timing belts on Hondas are one of the easier vehicles to do, however i strongly encourage you to get a chiltons manual or such from your local parts store such as Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. Because first of all you will need to see where the timing marks on the cam and crank have to be set before installing the new belt, If not lined up proper the car won't run and you can do valve damage as well. Timing Mark Alignment is very important. I also recommend if you do change it your self to definetly change the water pump while you are in there since it is timing belt driven. please feel free to let me know if I can help you with anything else with it. swiftautorepairs.com

Timing belt on Accord 2004 v6 models

2003 and up Honda Accord with 4 cylinder engines do indeed have a chain and the V6 has a belt which must be replaced at 110,000 miles. Why? Ask Honda, they designed the engines.

Changing a timing belt on a 2001 Honda Accord

All of your fan belts needs to be taken off because the timing belt is located beneath the crankshaft pulley. There is a possibility that you may need to lift the motor off its motor mounts to gain access to the timing belt. Remember, the timing belt can't be seen from the outside.
