Toyota Hilux 1993, indicators not working, i've changed flasher relay still not working?

    Tried it still nothing, what happend was I plugged in a plug for trailer and it blew a fuse first, so I changed it, second time the indicators did'nt work, but hazard lights still work.. I thought it might be flasher so i bought another one, still no Luck ? I tried jiggle L, R still no luck...

Check the 4 way hazard flasher switch, jiggle it on and off with the indicators in the l or r position and you should get it to work.

    That makes the indicator switch look like the culprit to me!

check to make sure there is a relay for the hazard lights as normally the switch just connects the 4 flashers and works thought the indicator flasher unit.

Where is the fuse for the indicators


youre flasher fuse should be located on the fuse box it will be the large either round or square fuse some vehicles will have two fuses one is for emergency flashers and one for L/R indicators. Hope that helps Good Luck

If the front lights work and the back don't the flasher unit is ok . There is a open circuit to the rear lights, check for a connector that has come apart or a broken wire.

I have a Hilux Ln106 I recently had a battery change and my harzard lights and indicaters are not working, Is it the flasher relay.


It could be but seeing you just changed your battery I would start checking your ground straps make sure the engine had a good ground too

I am working on the same problem, I have found that the Flasher unit is behind the Radio above the heater blower motor.

You found this long ago I'm shure, but just in case. Flasher mounts on dash suport-bar way up behind the gauge cluster. Check out this site www.toyodiy.com It rocks lots of info.
