Guess what experts and gurus. they don't stock or make brake boosters for 1999 continentals anymore. client needs to find a good mechanic with connections to get a replacement. they are hard to find.

Go buy one. What's the question? Dealer or Auto Parts Store?

Locate the pcm in a 99 lincoln continental

I believe they are located on the drivers side under the dash by the firewall. the electrical connector for the PCM is under the hood on the drivers side firewall near the brake power booster.

My 1999 lincoln Continental wont shift out of "PARK"

Is the vehicle parked on an incline? The parking pin may be slightly jammed. If you can VERY CAREFULLY nudge the vehicle up the hill an inch or two, using another vehicle, the shift lever may free itself.
If the vehicle is parked on level ground, suspect the LOCKING SOLENOID for the shift lever.
Less likely, the parking pin may be jammed (inside the transmission), or the shift lever linkage may have become damaged.

How do you get the serpentine belt back onto a 1999 lincoln continental? we can't figure out how to put slack in the belt to get it back on the alternator.

there is a belt tensioner pulley you must lever back to produce the slack needed to slip on the belt. There is a socket type cutout behind the pulley. put in the appropriate size ratchet handle or breaker bar and move tensioner arm back against the spring tension on the pulley. slip on belt making sure the grooves of the belt are in the pulleys correctly

1999 Lincoln Continental. The cruise will turn on but will not set. Recently had Sears replace the brake booster, is there any cruise components that have to be removed or disconnected to complete this...

The cruise control mechanism is in the area of the booster, so it is possible they had to remove it to get to the booster. It may just be unplugged.

Cant find power brake booster for ford galaxie 500 w/352 engine please call if possible 901 870 6778 paul,, too detailed to type

what a second...

in 2005 there were no continentals

I'm assuming, according to your post you are looking for the booster on an old 60's galaxy?

if the later is the case, then it may NOT have a booster since it was on option back then

I need to replace a hydro brake booster in a 1987 lincoln continental but some one replaced it with a diffrent kind of hydro booster and it has no part #s just casting numbers

you can call the local dealer and give them the VIN number, they should be able to tell you what goes in there.
E7LY2C257A this is the part number I can only come up with and it's not cheap

Power brake booster compatibility - 86 crown vic to 83 town car

i think if there is a problem it would be if one had A.B.S. and the other did not, otherwise i can't see any problem. just have to look at it and see if everything lines up. i believe the boosters are the same, if they look the same and bolt up the same i don't see any problem. you might want to chk. with a ford dealer just to see if there is a differance in volume on booster.
