Need a detailed schematic of the dual piston caliper the kit I have has parts that the drawing in my Hastings does not show, and I know I need them, and so inwhat order

the only thing you need is new rubber seals as that is all their is ,when fitting the seals make sure you clean the grooves out with a little screwdriver with the end bent at a right angle and bit of copper grease to slow down the rate of corrosion ,remove the seals first and then take them to a auto factor to get a new kit that includes the rubber boots .Never mind what the book says i always use copper grease on the groove and the outside of the piston ,then once the rubber boot is fitted a bit of engine oil under it ,you will not damage the rubber and this is what i advise for a wet climate like the UK

Fitting Brake Pads. First set were too small. Toyota Celica 82 model. 21RC motor Hatch GT . Pads still look too small.Could it be the calipers were fitted before the wrong size?

Could be the store's computer is wrong, could be it's half-year model, could be someone before you fitted aftermarket calipers, lots of things could be working against you.

I think I'd just unscrew one and take it in with me, you can be pretty sure you'll get the right thing then. Be sure to plug the open fitting on the caliper and the rubber brake line so that nothing can get in them.

Be sure the pads you have now don't actually fit though, you'll hate it if you pull that darn caliper and take it in and they put the pads you have now in it for you..

you either have a bad caliper, or the rubber hose that connects to the caliper, that the only two things it can be.

2004 Ford Mustang. Replaced front brake caliper.

IF THERE ARE 2 PRONG OR TAB LOOKING THINGS IN THE PISTON THEN THE PISTONS NEED TO BE SCREWED IN TO MOVE BACKWARDS TO ALLOW BRAKE PAD TO FIT..DO NOT COMPRESS THEM WITH A C-CLAMP OR IT IS BAD..ANY AUTO PARTS STORE CAN LOOK AT THIS AND TELL YOU FOR SURE..SREW TO THE RIGHT TO COMPRESS

Front barke caliper bolts on 97 biuck leasbre what type and size

You will need to climb back there with a flashlight and look. I believe they are allen bolt, and they auto parts store will sell a kit with 3 of the most used allen bolts drivers in a 3/8" socket set.

Alternative is that the bolts may be torx, in which case, the auto parts store will have those as well.

The nice thing is, the sizes are very common, and the driver kit's normally have the 2-3 sizes that are most common for brake repair.

1986 Ford Bronco front calipar replacement instructions

Detailed? OK...

First take off the wheel and set aside. Then, look for the two pins that hold the caliper on; there is one on the top and one on bottom. They are made of tow peices that can be squeezed together at the end and then pushed out the back or front. The caliper may need a little encouragement to come off of the rotor especially so with lots of mileage. Take note of how the pads are installed and which pad goes on which side so you can put the new ones in correctly. The pads can be a little tricky to get back in, but if you take your time and go carefully you won't have a problem. Take a wrech/socket and unscrew the bolt holding on the breakline fitting. It is a banjo fitting that will have a washer on the top and bottom to seal it. Your new caliper may or may not have a fitting with it, just reuse the fitting and washers if not. Wipe down the rotor with some brake clean and measure it to ensure it's not too thin; there should be a measurement stamped on the rotor that's not to be exceeded. If it's good then just slide the caliper w'pads installed back on the rotor. Take a dab of brake grease and rub on the two caliper pins to help the caliper slide back and forth. The just push back into place with a little help from a mallet. Doulbe check you got everything put back on in the right place and then put the wheel back on and torq accordingly.
