When driving for a while the engine stalls, the abs light is on, the service engine light used to be on but is not anymore. The steering locks but is easily shifted into neutral and restarts immediately.

Check and see if you hear the fuel pump cycling when you turn the key on. If not check fuse before replacing pump.

if your car has an automatic trassmision , the problem is the clutcht not the ABS

Im assuming its the 4WD light and the ABS light that are on?
Start engine, turn steering full lock to left, then full lock to right. (4WDS should go out). Then drive car ashort distance , switch on and off again.

It could be a number of things. Did the car kick a engine light or service light?

I have a 2006 Jaguar 2006 which has been serviced recently. The problem I have is when I get to 65 mph plus, the car starts juddering. This is not through the steering wheel and I have had the wheels balanced and aligned. Any ideas ?

do the lights still come if so it is not the alternator , it maybe the fuel pump THe steering will lock up when the engine shuts down it needs power from the motor to work

Some times the wheel speed sensor will go out on either side. This will make the A.B.S. light come on. But I dont see why the service engine light would come on. I would segest changing all wheel speed sensors and take it for a drive. The A.B.S. light should go out. If the service engine light dose not go out your local auto parts stors can run a diagnostics test to tell you what the light is on for.
