YOU want to stop the coil wires from jumping ,,,,apart from replacing all leads etc ,,all you have to do is to SPRAY IT ALL WITH hair spray
Yes hairspray but let it dry for 1/2 hr before starting
as h/spray is good for all wiring . you can also spray HTLeads Plugs and Battery term.

The rpm tach is jumping and its hitting and missing

Check your coil and distrubuter. Wait till it's dark. Open the hood and carefully check if the spark is jumping around. Also check the rotor for cracks
As well as your HT leads.

I have a ram 1500,5.7 Hemi.Navagation-radio unit went bad, replaced truck worked fine for 2 weeks then would not crank tried jumpstart no luck everything under hood under 10000 miles, what to check for?

I would check the battery. If it has lost 2 cells(about 8 volts), the truck won't start even with a jump. was the engine cranking good? Find a code reader and check the codes. Pull a coil and check for spark. No spark, check fuses first, then look at the crank sensor.

55 ford thunderbird points are firing, but no fire to plugs.

if you have a "barn find"and it has the original leads the spark will probably jump off the leads, other than that look at the top of the coil for flash over or the dist cap for cracks, sometimes the rotor also cracks under the brass strip which you cannot see and the spark jumps to the dist shaft, take lead off coil and position it 1/4 inch from the engine and crank,if you see spark jump the gap, thenreconnect it and do the same with the spark plug leads from the dist to see if the spark comes back out of the dist,if no spark from coil it may be internally shorted

Does the distributor turn when you crank the motor? I had an old Chevy I had no spark I replaced all those things still no spark found out finally that my timing chain had snapped so nothing was turning the distributor fixed that still no spark drove me crazy turned out the pick up coils in the distributor itself were no good

Random misfire in engine

Sounds like a spark wire, coil, or just a spark plug. Check it when it is very dark. Look under the hood at the coil and spark plug wires and look for a spark jumping out somewhere, And listen for a popping noise. If you have a distributor on your motor, check there also. If it is a spark jumping, it will most likely do it under a load. take care and good luck.

Wheres the spark plugs on my 03 mazda tribute v6

They are under the ignition coils on each side of the engine. The left bank (front of engine compartment)can be relaced by removing the plastic cover then removing the connectors and bolts from the 3 ignition coils. The right bank (rear of engine compartment requires removal of the upper intake plenum to acess the coils.

93 crown vic has current to coils, cranks, but no spark to plugs. had a wiring problem in harness, repaired all wires. what electrical components might need to be relaced?

Troubleshoot PCM Power relay--probably in relay box under hood.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check . Might also be a crank sensor issue. Let us know if you have more questions.

It sounds like you have a miss fire event going on. look for spark jumping from the plug wires to the engine or any metal object. Best way to see is start you truck at night open the hood you should be able to see the spark jumping
