When did this problem first occur? I do not think that there is a problem. It is a type of protection mechanism. Your car will only start when it is in neutral position; this is to ensure that you do not accidentally crank the engine while in gear, which will result in a sudden ****.
Please elaborate what you mean by jiggling.

You need to replace the nuetral safety switch, it is located on the outside of the trans or the column (if Column shift), we don't have this model in USA but I am a Ford deaker Tech and know the switch is the problem, it is the only thing that can cause this problem.

94 Mazda B 2300 truck 5 speed transmission in nuetral and can't put into any gear

can be a normal situation as the teeth ends hit each other and will not mesh
not noticed if the engine is running as the teeth are moving
have you seen the clutch lever moving or are you just assuming it is good
probably didn't/doesn't need a clutch but a clutch master cylinder

What is a neutral safety switch?

The Neutral Safety switch monitors the position of your gear selector lever and either interrupts or allows the starting circuit in your car or truck to do its job. On newer vehicles it may also monitor the position of the brake pedal to make sure that the vehicle is in park or neutral AND that your foot is on the brake.

If your vehicle is equipped with a neutral safety switch, it should NOT start UNLESS the transmission is in Neutral or Park. On the other hand your vehicle SHOULD start when it is in Neutral or Park. If your car will start in Neutral but not in Park, you have a bad switch. Also, if your car or truck will only start by turning the key to the start position and wiggling the gear selector lever, your neutral safty switch is in need of replacement.

The nuetral safety switch is usually found near the gear shifter. If your car has the gear shift on the column, then the neutral safety switch is usully mounted on the steering column near the brake pedal. On floor mount or console mount vehicles you will find the nuetral safety switch mounted near or on the shifter mechanism.

WON'T START IN PARK-HAVE TO MOVE TO NUETRAL

sounds like you may need the linkage adjusted from gear lever to your gearbox as the inhibit switch is not being made correctly. The fact it starts in neutral means the switch itself is probably okay.

I installed a new clutch and cant get 5th or reverse.

remove gear stick and check its in properly, if you removed the gear shifter quadrant box bolted to top of gearbox you more than likely put it in while a gear was selected, remove and make sure gear box selectors are all lined up in nuetral then refit quadrant box and then gear lever.

2005 pontiac key won't start car

If you have a center console shifter make absolutely positve the gear select is all the way up into PARK, even the slightest thing in the way can cause the key to lock you from starting vehicle, if a coin or other object fell down into the slot of the shifter it could effect it. If you try to start in Nuetral place foot on the brake first, shift into Nuetral and try to start. The start/Nuetral safety switch could be bad as well, but hopefully it is something as simple as a penny in the way. wiggle shift lever all the way into park. I had a guest the other day who could not get her key out of the car, and she had a coke from wendys in the cup holder, the shift lever would not go all the way home by quarter of an inch, as soon as I moved the cup forward the shift lever fell into place on its own and the key came right out.

What is the location of the neutral safety switch on a 2001 Saab 9.3 convertible. Is it a difficult repair with the right tools.

I'm not sure what you mean by "neutral safety switch". I have the shop manual for this car (I also have a 2001) and there is nothing listed under "neutral" or "safety" or "switch" in the index that looks like it.
