This smoke is caused by the rotor tip seals, they have excessive clearance, the reason can be a defective/porely done rebuild or new parts that have failed, you don't say what mileage u have on the engine, but the rotary is noted for oil smoke and oil usage issue, it is very important that they be carefully rebuilt with only Mazda engine parts, I know this from a fellow tech who used to rebuild these engines for a large dealer. If this is still under warranty take it back and have them replace it.

Smokes when cold and stops once it warms up

How many miles on engine?. What color smoke? If white clouds of smoke that goes away when it warms up that indicates a possible housing seal. Another symptom would be having to add coolant. view this video -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H-B1nckyFE

How do I remove the center console from a 1984 RX-7

Yours has the two buttons either with speaker joystick or change holder. There are four contact points they are just plastic pin clips. At least one if not all will break at this age. You cannot remove the console without removing that panel, front mounting screws are under it. Good luck, you could try making sure the plastic is warm and use some really small screw drivers or homemade implements

My 1985 mazda rx 7 1.1 gets glowing hot where exhust comes out of the motor , replaced exhust pipe and muffler but didn't help have any suggestions

Hi,
Check the ignition timing.
Make sure the fuel you are using is specified for engine use.
Last one will be to check the catalytic converter if it still open.

Hope that helps!

White smoe is an indication of antifreeze getting into cylinder which can mean blown head gasket, cracked head or block

Have a 1985 mazda rx7 will not idle .. cold start ok when choke is on once warm stalls and will not idle

There is a throtle adjuster right behind the carb. You can adjust it with a screw driver. If you are not sure where it is, just have someone press to gas pedal and you will see it move. RPM's at idle should be around 1,000 when it is idle once it has warmed up. Once that car warms up the choke moves back in and the car is probably stalling because it is not running enough RPM's.
