Question about 2003 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

The fan in our 2003 Town and Country keeps running, even when I completely turn off the A/C. When I actually turn it off, it sets itself to blow out the floor and the fan actually blows harder. I cannot get it to turn down or off. Any ideas? I dread the thought of a high repair bill, so I'm hoping this is something minor.

There is a stepper motor in the dash that controls where the air flow goes but it is not a job i would take on myself unless you,re quite mechanically talented.if your not the last dodge our company sent in for repairs came with a $800 bill.

Code 480 on chrysler town and country 3.3, why fuse blows? Even after a fan has been replaced, and relay been replaced.

Probably.
The code means the computer detects the fan is not running after the computer has grounded the relay to turn it on.
If the fuse is blowing and you have replaced the fan motor, I would look for a problem in the wiring. If the fuse is not blowing, I would check for power at the relay and at the fan motor with the relay jumpered. Also check the ground circuit for the fan.

The fan is stuck blowing on high, the knob turns etc... but the fan and condenser run full blast

Check the connection at the heater blower motor resistor.Wiggle or pull connector off and look for a melted pigtail these get very hot and usally are the cause of fan motor problems. Its located on passenger side of heat duct mounted with 2 screws.

Fan control knob on a/c and heater will only run on high speed. 2003 dodge mini van

I replaced the fan module under the glovebox on my 2005 Town & Country last night. Mine would not shut off at all with key on. It only blew on high no matter where I set the switch. Mine also had the climate control which makes a difference. If it is not the auto climate control it is usually the blower resistor if the other fan speed selections don't blow at all except on high.
