Question about 2005 Saturn VUE

I just had my saturn inspected and the emissions failed because it would not register the rpm's. what could the problem be and about how much to fix it

It is probably not your car but the emm machine not seeing the rpm,have them check the cable they use to connecvt to your car and push the reset button on the emm machine,,i never seen it be the car but even if it is they can try to connect 3 times if it doesnt they can skip past that step and pass you anyhow,,,at least in PA they can

Emissions reset not it doesn't register for inspection


all of the tests have not run yet.. the mechanic that cleared the codes did not do you any favors. you must repair the problem causing the light to come on. you may need to keep driving it until a light comes on, and then a QUALIFIED mechanic can fix the cause of the light.

Failed emission test due to not complete code


Change thermostat and temp sensor....do another drive cycle....Plug your scanner back in and see if all the monitors are finished their tests...If not find out which monitor is still running...
