Question about 1988 Chrysler New Yorker
I have put a new battery and alternator in the car a 1985 chryler new yorker. Had everything tested and car still will not charge.
There is a diode in line on the charging curcit that if it is bad it will not excite the charging curcit, a good repair shop will be able to test that.

Check your alternator which is not charging your battery. Make sure the serpentine belt is not broken and is turning your alternator pulley. If the belt is good and the pulley for the alternator is not frozen you may want to make sure the battery and alternator has a good ground connection. If you replace the battery your vehicle will run until the battery voltage drops so you have to fix the charging system first.
