Is a cold air in-take kit for a 05 Tacoma worth the expense?

I own a 05 Toyota Tacoma (4.0L V6). Are the cold air intake kits worth the cost? I can pick up a used one for $150. I'd appreciate any advice.

For the $150 to $200 or more price and a few , 5-10 horsepower gain, usually less, it is not really worth it. More or less visual appeal.

Where is iat sensor on 2006 toyota tacoma 4.ol 4door located ?

This is the 2001-2012 Toyota Tacoma wiring diagram, Toyota Tacoma IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor Location and the Toyota Tacoma MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Location, also included is a pinout of the sensor. You are likely installing a performance chip or a cold air intake kit for increased HP (Horsepower). You will want to be sure to disconnect the car battery before adding performance products.

Here is the Toyota Tacoma's Iat sensor diagram:

How to remove 2006 Toyota Tacoma v6 engine?

There is way too much info to write to do R&R's. You need to purchase a manual because this gives you the specs also. The money for it is well worth it.

My 1999 tacoma i bought has a cold air intake and its throwing a check engine light but it drives fine??? Help

drive it on over to oriellys auto parts and ask them to use thier scan tool (most parts stores can do this for you) itll tell you what part is causing the code to be thrown. however 9 times out of 10 when you have a check engine light on and the car still drives fine its the O2 sensor. on a side note most cold air intakes are a gimmick. most vehicles come stock with cold air intake from the factory. the issue ive noticed most with cold air intakes that use oil is they get over oilled and this cloggs up the IAC valve, TPS sensor, and throttle body.

Compus thermometer must be replaced what will it cost 2007 toyota tacoma

A replacement unit from Toyota goes for something like $200 (maybe more). This is a very common problem with the 05-09 Tacoma. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

Value of a Power chip for an 05 Tacoma with 4.0L V6?

The power chips work fine but you have to think why did'nt the Toyata peaple do it first? The reason is the car might not be able to pass emission tests durability test fuel milaage test. The chips are designed to help retune the engine for other improvements like a cold air intake( more noise) open muffler or converter ( more noise and polution) more power has it's own problems. The whole drivetrain was designed to have this much power as you increase the power you alsoo need to improve the brakes tires shocks as a bigger more powerful truck has. Toyatas last a long time with very few problems. I you can afford troble and stey up the maintanice of all the systems, it can be fun, but may cost as much as getting a truck that has more power to begin with.

How do I beaf up my suspension on a 05 Toyota Tacoma

I would suggest an aftermarket add on. There are helper/overload springs that you can install yourself. They are cambered leafs that fit over the axle with contact points on each end that won't touch the existing leaf springs until you are loaded, at that point the 2 contact points will touch the existing springs and assume some of the load. When this occurs, naturally it will affect the ride of the truck, but when you are not loaded, your ride will be unaltered.

Is a airflow meter for v6 1993 camry needed? I am trying to put an cold air intake, but im not sure if i can remove the airflow meter or not. also any help on intalling a cold air intake on the car would...

You MUST have the air flow meter installed on your vehicle. The car will not run if you remove it. The Air Flow Meter measures the amount of air coming into the engine, and also the air temperature. This information is sent to the fuel injection computer, to determine the proper fuel to be injected. In reality, cars with "air-flow meters" do not really "benefit" from a cold air intake, due to the inherent restriction that the air flow meter causes, as it measures the air.
In short, I would not install the intake, you won't see much benefit. The graciousness of a FixYa rating for my assistance would be greatly appreciated..
