Question about 2007 Ford Escape Hybrid FWD
There is a steel ring with cogs on it that engages the ABS they crack .You need it on a lift to see,they are behind the rotor its a $37 part but a lot of labor

The part the other person was referring to for $37 +/- used to be about #12. The only comment I have is that it seems Ford, even through they surely have been aware of this problem in Escapes for years, has not bothered to do anything to fix it. I don't believe it is related to your brakes per se..at least it never was to mine...however having said that the light first appeared when I had 4 new tires put on my vehicle. It was checked by ford dealers, other mechanics and I have researched it till I am totally over it and still the light blinks.One would think that Ford has had enough grief about this problem that it would have been addressed but then again....Ford isn't the Ford of yesteryear. Test: See if the light blinks approx. every .8 mile and blinks for about 8 times. If it does welcome to the Ford Escape insanity light club.
