Do you mean the van is actually braking like a Starsky and Hutch move or that the warning lights indicate that they are on? If its lights then you may be low on brake fluid. Maybe a module leak
Try cleaning your ABS senors. They are located on the back side of your brake roters. The each senor reads how fast each tire is turning and if there is a big difference between the four your ABS will kick on.
You need to have your brakes inspected by a professional. The lights indicate that ABS and traction control are not working...although brakes will work without these features, a humming noise can indicate more problems to come.
