HI,Check the ignition key. It should have a black plastic end with either an R or N stamped on the key near the plastic. 2. Check the codes in the immobilizer module,You may have a key software issue.

Where is the crank sensor located on a 2000 navigator? I've been told several different locations and after recent back surgery I don't feel like crawling all around to find it

run the fault codes and that will test the sensor for you. Check the immobiliser for correct operation. fault codes may say that it is a cam position sensor in which case check to see if the cam shaft is turning(broken timing belt)

run the fault codes to check that it is the problem . Cam position sensors have critical air gap measurements ---or prone to the air gap being contaminated with stuff and the rotor being loose or damaged

Someone please help!!!! I have a 2000 buick

A cam sensor only helps the computer when cranking and should not make it cut off. Most cam sensors do not go bad, but he magnet on the timing gear will deterorate. To fix that the timing cover will have to come off. Replace the crank sensor they get hot and stop working. When they cool down they will work again until it gets hot.

My 2000 eclipse wont start up all the way

I have the same problem on my 2002 Eclipse RS 2.4l 4 cylinder. Replaced the battery, starter, fuel pump(not at one time) . It started up when I had the starter put on as well the fuel pump. But everytime I started the car up it ran good till I turned it off the problem was still there. The car sounds like it wants to start but it sputters you can smell the gas so I know its getting fuel. it starts up fine with a cold start like in the morning.

Try getting a diagnostic thats what Im going to do next week.
good luck!!!
