My 2008 chevy hhr only has one front wiper working. The arm is connected, and the driver's side works fine on all settings. The passenger side doesn't move. Whats wrong?

There is a link bar under the cowl (plastics under wipers) the bar has plastic sockets on each end that connects the left side(where the motor connects) to the right, so...when the left wiper moves it transfers the motion to the right

The driver side wiper will not work - tries to move but doesn't

you could have one of two it could be the wiper arm linkage has come apart or two the wiper arm splines that connect to the wiper drive that it fastens to is damaged.

I have a 2006 hhr my driver side wiper blade stopped working . i can move it with my hands . the other side works when i turn them on

there is a black cap on the bottom of the windshield wiper where it pivots. Take a flat screwdriver and pop the cap off. there is a small nut. Tighten it up. Snap the cap back on. ( Make sure your wiper is in the correct position before you tighten the nut.

2006 hhr passenger side windshield wiper not moving but drivers side is fine??

First remove the complete passenger side wiper check and make sure splines on wiper are not stripped. If this is not the problem It could be a linkage bar from the wiper motor to the wiper off or disconected. Since both wipers share the same motor if one works the other should. Check this by removing both wipers and then "Cawl" (little black piece between the hood and windshield underneath the wipers) Underneath the cawl you should be able to see the windshield wiper motor, and linkage bar to both of the wipers. See if the bar is disconected from the passenger side. If it is than reconnect it. These are the only two possible scenarios.

Replacing windshield wiper blades

Normally, you press the little lever on the picture below and the wiper blade slide off the arm hook. Sometimes you have to hit the blade downwards a couple of times to make it slide off. The new wiper blade should slide on easy and it should make a click sound when secure.

Only the driver side wiper works the passanger side does not move

It sounds like the connecting arm that connects to both the driver and passenger wiper has disengaged on the passenger side. Pop the hood and look under the trim by the firewall and you may be able to see the wiper assembly. If not, then you'll need to remove the trim to get to it

Front windshield wipers wont work

there may be two relays but you'll need owners manual to know for sure. yes there is only one fuse for the wipers, i thought you didn't know which one it was. but i'd check them all any way just to make sure. sometimes several things are on a fuse. if it's not that i'd say it's the wiper motor. try wiggling the wires connected to it and see if they come on.
