Question about 1995 Lincoln Continental

Moaning noise reversing while turning wheel to left

While reversing my 95 Lincoln Continental I get a moaning noise while turning wheel to left. I noticed a Town car having exact same issue, so I figure it may be common. It also makes a lot of vibration/road noise sound but disappears when turning wheel to left; not sure if they are related. I've changed the tires since they needed it and balanced but didn't help.

The moan is caused by the brakes and the vibration is due to a defective part on the front end a tie rod end or drag link. If you want more information I would be glad to assist but have to run to work so post here and I will give it a shot tonight when I get home.

Check the power steering fluid, have a helper turn the wheel and look under the hood and see if the power steering pump is making noise, check the P/S belt to make sure it's tight.

Turing the steering wheel to the left or the right it makes a loud moaning and grining noise.please help thankes

Check the power steering fluid. located at the front of the engine where the belt is. if it low fill it to the mark on the stick/lid. if the noise is still ther after a while then you will need at minimum a new pump. you will need to have the system check for leaks.

Moaning noise in steering column

The probably lubed the intermediat shaft conenction. The loud poping noise could be from them not sitting the boot back correctly. Inspect your boot. As for the moaning noise Only thing I can think of is a hydraulic noise.

2003 Chev Venture Van Moaning Noise

hi from uk from your symptoms re moaning frm drivers side ? assume front?? best advice at this stage is to raise the front wheel and check for any undue wear in the wheel bearing by rocking the wheel top and bottom there should not be any tilting of wheel ? also make sure the wheel is free to rotate with no noise /roughness if so ? then you have a front wheel bearing failing however whilstyou check drivers side? also check the other wheel for same and it would be a good idea to check brake pads for wear during checks as you can do these if/when it becomes apparent the wheel bearing req's attention? all the above is subject to assuming you have checked tyres and pressures are correct ? you could pop car into local tyre depot and they could do checks on above for a quick diagnosis? hope this help check it out ASAP as this could be serious best wishes
