It is under dash, near the top of the brake pedal.

NEAR the brake pedal 'arm'. Go to www.hmaservice.com and register( Vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you have access to shop manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc. about your vehicle.

All the brake lights went out. Replaced the bulbs but still not lights.

Check the break light swith located under pedal. Make sure the wires are connected, if ok manually press while someone checks lights. If no luck remove swith and check with ohmeter. Check conyinuity between prongs. Can take to a local parts store if needed. Check fuses and relay in fuse panel before you do this.

Brake lights don't com on even when you put your feet on the breaks. fuse i ok, light bulb is okay. what could be the problem

Brake light switch located near the brake pedal itself. It will either be out of adjustment or the wires are broke off. If it is out of adjustment get anew swith because I have found the readjusting only is a short term fix. If the wires are broken from constant movement of the brake pedal --simply repair the wiring and attach them to match same colors that they broke from

Replacing the brake light swith

n all probability the brake sensor on the pedal is starting to work erratically. This sensor sends a signal to the shifter gate, and the gate will not open unless the brake pedal is depressed. I had it happen to me, and the only solution until i replaced the sensor was to hit the brake over and over until the stop light worked. If the stop lights work, the shifter gate should allow the shifter to move out of park. This sensor/ switch is located about 3 inches above the brake pedal, and it is easily recognizable by the cable attached to it.

probably the switch at the top of the pedal is already defective. that switch turns on the brake lights when you depress the pedal. you may have to just replace that switch.
