Question about Infiniti M45 2003 2005 If 51 02 Vehicle Specific Mount

2 Answers

There is a noise coming from the left side of the car. The noise happens every time I hit a bump. It sounds like a muffler bracket is borken. Are other people with Infiniti's experience this problem? Some times the noise sounds like it is coming from the suspension system up front.

Dear friend- it sounds to me that the shock mounting is at fault,if you lift the vehicle with a two post lift as high as you can then hit the wheel with both hands up words you will hear the knock.

What would be causing a noise in the front end that sounds like someone hitting can when braking & going over bumps?

Sounds like the wheel is touching something when the nose goes down a bit. I had a similar problem and found it was the stone guard under the front fender

Strut noise. sounds like shaft is hitting strut mount.

It shouldn't matter too much unless the car is being driven very ******* very undulating road surfaces.
If you used non genuine struts, especially Chinese brands then this noise can be quite apparent almost immediately.

When you say yellow bellows, I presume you mean bump stops.

Driveing at slow speed every bump you heir a meatle sound effect

This could be due to exhaust has come off its brackets and every time you hit a bump its hitting the road
Check exhaust and you will see scratches and dints where's its impacted with the road, Making sure all brackets are connected and tight might solve this problem

Rear suspension left side makes a knocking sound while driving

There are a few suspension parts that can cause knocking noises. Such as swar bar loose, strut mounts going bad. You should really have a shop do a complete suspension check.

I hit a bump on the right front side and it makes a roaring type noise and shimmies a bit .. can feel it under my left foot. also at times it will make that soud when i make a right hand turn... it is ...

Sounds like your left front wheel bearing is going bad. When you make a right turn, or compress the right front suspension over a bump, it forces the car to roll to the left. This loads the suspension on the left side, which will exaggerate a wheel bearing problem. Are you hearing the noise at all when travelling on the highway in a straight line? If so, it'd be either a grinding sound or a hollow humming noise. If you aren't, it may be that the bearing is just starting to go bad.

A quick test to see if the bearing is bad is to jack the car up at that corner, grab the wheel at the top and bottom, and shake it hard - if there is any movement or looseness, your bearing is shot. If there is none, it doesn't mean the bearing is fine, but it could be that it's just starting to go bad (which would be why you only hear it in turns and bumps, but not straight-line yet).
