SOURCE: radio code 1998 volvo v70
your going to have to call up your local volvo dealer and give them your vin number and they can look it up for you. You can try using radio-code.com but i wouldnt recomend it. Your best bet is calling your local volvo dealer and they will help you out.

If there are no burn marks on the housing then use as much force by hand to turn the entire black knurled assembly counter clockwise, you may already be at the point you have to be. Now try wiggling it back forth and pulling straight back at the same time. I'm assuming you've removed the housing from the body. If not there is a small gray latch that just pushes back and the whole assy. comes out very easily. When replacing the bulb put a little dab of vaseline on the metal area of the bulb before inserting it.

The releases are located inside the seat back. This pic will give you a good idea of where to look for them. It's easier with 2 people, one pushing the releases and another lifting the head rest out. http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/download/file.php?id=1748&mode=view

Hedadlight removel Volvo V70 2002
Yes the full front bumper has to be removed. Not as bad as it sounds just take your time. One fixing screw in each wheel arch, two bolts behind black bumper trim each side of no. plate, and five or six plastic
plugs on slam panel. Remember to unplug fog lights if fitted. The lamp unit can then be removed secured by thee bolts two on slam panel and one on the inner side of the lamp near the radiator and a clip on the outer side, obvious when you take a good look and dont try to rush.
I hope this will help anyone else.

You need to call a Volvo dealer. They'll likely ask you for a number on a sticker on the radio itself. You can find that sticker by pulling the radio out (push the 2 skinny vertical "bars" on each side of the radio to pop them out, then pull on them to pull out the entire radio unit).
