All the dash lights come on when I turn the key .The engine won't crank and the security light keeps flashing thank you 1994 bonneville

This will either be the starter, or just could be your ignition switch. Either repair is a little in-depth, but nothing most shadetree mechanics can't handle.

This is either your starter, or could be your ignition switch. Both are decently priced, but can be labor costly at a shop. About 2 to 3 hours for either one.

How do I reset security system on my 2000 Bonneville?

press the helpful button and follow me on fixya for more tips

Put the key into ignition and turn it to RUN position. All dash lights will illuminate. Don't try to start the car. Leave the key in the ignition for about 5-10 minutes or until security light will stop flashing. The car should start after that. Security lock on the Pontiac disables the injectors, so the engine should crank. If it does not, you may want to check ignition switch, fuse and relay for the starter. Try to reset security first. Sometimes the magnet in the ignition lock cylinder gets dirty and needs cleaning. written by AlexGS
If the above procedure does not work the first time, try again, but right at the start insert key in and out of ignition several times to get good contact, as your key or ignition could be faulty.

92 Bonneville security light comes on and I can't start my car

the anti-theft system has activated and will have to be reset. I think the procedure is turn key on for 3 minutes then off for 10 seconds then on until the security light flashes on the dash then turn key off. if should start.

1994 cadillac deville no crank

The PATS security system would prevent the engine from cranking if the system does not "see" the right chip in your key. If the system is working correctly, the light should go off after you turn the key switch on.
You should have power on the small starter wire when the key switch is in the start position.

Car turns over.. wont ignite .. gages r reading zero!! Fuel pump or sensor??!

fuss ok? how about fuse link ?any light in cluster? when you turn ignition key to ''on'' position your dash lights should come on like engine , air bag , brake, etc and should turn off in few seconds if they dont come on, check the fuse panel for blown fusses. also check them for power with key on most of them should have power except a few that only power up when the engine cranks or runs. the fuss links are special pieces of cable that feed the susses they're designed to break when overheated and are on the positive battery cable in the starter side end . if the lights in the dash work as noted the security system may be active .
