Well you have a lack of air being sucked into engine so check your air cleaner and all hoses coming in to air cleaner box and going from box to engine for somthing restricting the air flow and 9 times out of 10 its the filter so if dirty replace it...

Ignition timing brown connector grounded

The previous (first answer) did not address the question at all. The question was about ignition timing. Under the hood of your Mitsubishi Mighty Max, on the passenger side (right about at the fender well area) is a single-wire terminal with a cap on it. That's the grounding terminal. With the engine warm and running, remove that cap and use a jumper wire to ground out the contact inside that terminal to some good ground on your car ... (there's probably a small ground wire nearby, against the firewall, that connects to the engine). When that terminal is grounded, it disconnects the computer (ECU) and prevents it from trying to adjust the timing. It's sort of like disconnecting a vacuum hose on an distributor to prevent vacuum from affecting the timing. NOW, with that grounding terminal grounded, do your ignition timing (I think it's 3-7 degrees BTC). When you've double checked that the timing is correct, and with the engine still running ... then disconnect your grounding wire, replace the dust cap on that terminal, and you should be good to go.

most misfires are injector related ( dirty tips , low fuel pressure or injector wiring harness) get a workshop manual from an auto parts shop

My 1992 Mighty Max, will not start, its getting plenty of fire, but I don't tkink its getting fuel, what could be causing this?

If not getting fuel then the normal areas to check is the fuel filter, fuel pump but first the obvious is to make sure you have fuel in the tank. If this engine has a carburetor, remove the air filter houseing and pour a small amount of gas into it. Try starting it. If it starts and then dies it is a fuel delivery problem. If it wont start even temporily then I'd check things like wires, plugs, timing, etc (stuff to do with delivering a spark).
