My webber carby bogs down when you put your foot on the accrelator plus its using heaps of fuel

Your carby float chamber needs checking for a leak (fuel in the float) and new gasket kit plus check the timing/check the fuel pump and gasket to engine and spacer block/also check plugs and gaps to be 22thou.. But the float is most important the level must be correct and main jet very clean ..

I have a vw beetle 1600 which backfired .I replaced all plugs and she started now refuses to start .

i have owned three.. worked on heaps

probably your plug leads in wrong order

1972 VW 1600 cc is: 1 - 4 - 3 - 2

the plug leads can break or pull off at plug ends or breakdown internally during a plug change

if not ,,a coil ,,,or points gap ,or dissy cap .dissy .carbon tip or leads arcing

very rarely any fuel problems
a good jetted webber carby fixes that

if no better ......motor may have burnt a valve

Ii have a1985 Nisson 4x4, Ive replaced the carb, with a new webber carb. The truck ideals ok but when u give it gas it acts like its starved of fuel, what could it be?

things to check will be float level, main jet size for the engine capacity, power circuit operational, accelerator pump working, ignition timing
by installing a different carby , make sure that all the holes in the carby base are not blocked off by a gasket that has no holes

I have a mercury 40hp thunderbolt it idle great but when I put in the lake it bogs down when I give it fuel what should i check

pull the carby ( if it has one ) and have it professionally cleaned out as it indicates a blocked main jet circuit
have the pump pressure checked to check for blocked fuel lines from the tank
if is electronic controlled with fuel injection the n have the fault codes read
I hope that you remember to open the vent on top of the gas tank as it may be starving for fuel

My sa 200 has been bogging and dying on me when welding and grinding. Been off and on for a few weeks now. It idles fine and idles up fine manually but welding and grinding it just starts bogging?

check for dirt in the main jet of the carby
also check the quality of the fuel being used
Stale fuel or e- fuel will affect performance
I would suspect a carby problem as the engine governor is opening up ok but the carby is not responding properly to the increased load

Put foot down and sometimes she will like fluter or bog down not go any harder

My 1984 gmc with a carborated 350 starts runs and idles fine but bogs at half throttle wont rev up will drive at nearly an idle but any sort of gas it bogs and almost dies i used carb cleaner yet it still...

it could be a fuel blockage or it could be that the main running jets in the carby are blocked you may have to remove the carby & strip it down & blow it out with compressed air, but check for a fuel blockage first........hope this helps......cheers.

if you have a down draft carby, you can just buy an adaptor plate to suit a down draft webber if the webber doesn't just bolt on, or if you want to use side draft webbers, you'll need a new manifold too

Dodge ram 50.....2 wheel drive, shooting fuel up from the carb, replaced the carb, with a webber, problem still consists pick up has no power, cannot go over 45hundred RPM's with out bogging down, i bought...

sounds like a leaking inlet valve broken valve spring/ faulty valve/lifter prob. or a worn out camshaft if the exhaust cam has worn out the compessed gas cant escape so when the inlet valve opens the internal cylinder pressure blows back in to the inlet maifold if it was me i would do a cylinder compression test first that should help you to isolate the cylinder thats at fault
