I have BMW 318 / 05 plate. The engine oil cap has cream colour gunk on it. The oil dipstick has just a tiny bit of cream gunk ... Why is this happening. Please help.

This is water foam caused by infrequent oil changes, poor quality oil (Quaker State, Pennsoil), or possible head gasket leak.

I have a 2003 BMW 325i. We had the oil changed and had discovered a drop of oil under the car the day before. The repair shop replaced our oil pan plug because it was cracked. Today we have 5 or 6 drops...

It could well be a PVC valve. The PVC plumbing on e46s is not one of BMW's best designs, and it needs to be cleaned out every 100k miles if not sooner.
Not likely a rear main. I have never seen a failed rear main seal on a 6 Cyl BMW.

Are you sure it is not power steering fluid? I would be surprised if a 2003 were not leaking a little power steering fluid by now if the hoses have not already been replaced.
Another common oil leak is the hose that feeds oil to the VANOS.
If the leak is toward the rear of the engine, I would look for a valve cover gasket leak.
The service engine soon light is almost certainly unrelated to the oil leak.

Hi, A car leaking oil will never result in the engine not starting, unless the engine has already seized. Before any corrective action can be taken, you need to determine where the oil leak is originating from. Depending upon several factors, this could be easy or it could be hard. One suggestion, do not use any of those quick fix oil additives to "fix your leak." The projected cost to fix your leak, will depend upon where your leak is. Good Luck!

2007 BMW X5 (New body style) How do I reset the onboard computer if I change my own oil?

THe garages have a bit of kit to do it! They aren't cheap either. you might find a garage that is willing to do it for you maybe for a few $'s but from my BMW experiance you can't do it yourself unless you have this bit of kit. A lot of garages have them these day not just BMW but not all of them can reset a BMW, good luck!

Low compression on number 6 cylinder of 1996 ford explorer 4.0

check, 1. spark plug for firing(replacing plug is a cheap fix)
2.#6 spark plug wire for proper strong voltage.
3. distributor cap #6 TERMINAL, (replace cap for another cheap fix)
remember trouble problem may be intermittent, so it would be beneficial to use "CHEAP FIX" solution first. GOOD LUCK. KEEP ME INFORMED. THANKS

Car Oil Leak

bmw has a problem in that the exhaust manifold bolts are through to the rocker cover oil reservoir and the stud threads allow oil past the threads , past the washer and onto the hot manifold
the fix is to remove the studs and use a thread sealer in the threads to seal off the threads
use a quality thread sealer ( suggest loctite red gasket sealer as it is heat resistant)
there is nothing wrong other than a lack of bmw knowledge
discuss it with the bmw shop to see what they say
