Every vehicle is fitted with a unique code, so you have to go back to Hyundai, unless like mine it is printed in the front of the owners manual, which should have come with car? You might be able to call the dealer to get code.

Good Luck

Hi there, I have a 1999 Hyundai Excel Sprint and I cannot unlock the radio cassette. I've lost the security code card. Can you help?

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Hyundai service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Taking out the stock radio in my 96 hyundai excel

You must first remove the faceplate bezel surrounding the radio.
You need to gently pry the cover off the fake switch on either top side.
Then remove the ashtray to access the two bottom screws.
once removed there should be the screws visible for the radio mount.

Radio code for 1997 Hyundai Excel. Factory supplied radio.

if you have the owners log books for the car look to see if the code is in there
if you do not have it then you need to get the model and chassis number from the top of the unit
then you need to go to Hyundai and they will get the code number and they will give it to you
i think you are better off going and getting a new cd player and having that installed
hope that helps

I just changed battery and then i found i couldn't use radio anymore. The window show "code" everytime i tried to turn on radio. My car is 1995 Hyundai excel.

You need to re-insert radio code . If your radio is factory provided you may ask code from local hyundai dealer.
Give radio model number to search if can be found also on web.
