Question about 1998 Ford Taurus
My transit van won't start. There is plenty of life in the battery but it just won't fire up. I had it valeted a couple of days ago where they used a jet spray to do the inside. It started fine when I picked it up, buy now it won't start. Any ideas? Could water have made it's way into the engine from the cabin?? It is a 1998 diesel. Help!!
I was getting tired of my 98' Transit 2.5 diesel not starting every morning. I solved the problem by taking off the large air hose from the air filter to the 'Banana' intake and placing a hair dryer at the opening.
It now starts at a flick of the key in any weather. Warning!! Don't leave the hair dryer 'ON' for longer than it takes to get from the front of the vehicle to turning the Ign. key. As soon as it fires up turn off the hair dryer and replace the hose.
