2005 Ford Escape XLT Constant noise coming

2005 Ford Escape XLT Constant noise coming form the front transmission, getting worse. No effect on driving but very noisy and concerning.
Took it to a workshop and they say need to fully replace the front transimision at ac ost more than the car is worth. CAN i fix the tranmission instead?

Yeah, those escape's are tricky to fix with the seperate front transmisisons - ver expensive. ditch the car and buy something decent instead...

if you are talking about the transmission then the trans needs to be flushed a simple drain and fill is not enough the torque converter holds a lot of fluid and if it is cold where you are maybe frozen.auto trans fluid can mix with antifreeze.

Humming loud noise

Sometimes depending on what type of tire you have, they can be making the humming sound, other than that you'd have to give more detail as to where you think it's coming from, like the back or the front, the engine or the wheels, transmission?

Whirring Noise from Right Front While Driving

If you have access to a lift put it on and look at the area where the noise is coming from if you have a small camera try and put it somewhere you may be able to see what it is doing.
Good luck.

This is a 'very' common problem which Ford is aware but chooses more times than not to allow owners to pay for. The site will let you look at the complaints and how some got this problem fixed.

Sounds like a wheel bearing on the right hand side. Service is by replacement only. Its not a bad job to do if you're handy if not I'm afraid its a trip to the local shop.I would suggest you do both of them at the same time. Most of the ones I have done come back within 6 months to have the other side changed. Good luck

Popping and grinding when i turn the steering wheel to the left. worse when the car is warm

I know on older cars that popping noise from the front end is often the cv joint, which is used in front wheel drive vehicles. Get it checked quick. The grinding noise could be a bad brake pad, which also needs to be checked a.s.a.p. Good Luck.
