CHECK MAKE SURE BATTERY VOLTAGE IS 12.5 VOLTS.IF NOT HAVE BATTERY CHECK OR REPLACE.IF BATTERY GOOD MAKE SURE BATTERY CABLE IS TIGHT AND FREE FROM CORROSSION.IF BATTERY CABLES OKAY HAVE STARTER SOLENOID CHECK.YOU PROBABLY NEED TO LET VOLKSWAGON DEALERSHIP CHECK IT OUT.BECAUSE IF YOU REMOVE THE BATTERY CABLES THE PCM IS GOING TO HAVE TO BE REPROGRAM TO START.IT WILL LOSE MEMORY.YOU WONT BE ABLE TO CRANK IT.
