1999 MIT ECLIPSE GST IS OVERHEATING. i HAVE PUT NEW WATER PUMP NEW HEAD GASKET HAD A VALVE JOB DONE AND HAD THE MACHINED, NEW THEROM, NEW RADITOR,NEW RAD CAP. THEIR IS NO AIR IN THE SYSTEM. CAR RUNS NORMAL TEMP AT HIGH RPM BUT OVERHEATS AND LOW RPM WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE IAM LOST PLEASE HELP. BOTH FANS COME ON SO ITS NOT ELECTRICAL OR IS IT. COULD IT BE THE CAT CONVERTER

All be it a new thermostate I'd check it to be certain it is both installed properly and operating properly.

Have a cylinder leakage test or co2 test done. my prefered method is a leakage test as it checks heads, head gaskets, valves, rings all in one test.

Working on a 1997 grand caravan 3.8L replaced the water pump replaced electric fans new thermostat did rad flush and and made sure there was no air pockets still over heats


White steam/smoke coming out exhaust, oil in radiator, coolant in oil, smell of exhaust coming out the radiator, spark plugs wet with coolant, a coolant pressure test would confirm bad head gasket.

first check two hoses from radiator if same temp. start afew mint. then tach by hand if same tem. or near that means water pump and thero. valve is ok then go to electric sys. check therom. s.w on radiator remove socket connect two line with com.line to check fan ok two speed . if overheating when load this cyl.head gasket need replace. check the smal return hose goes to resovor tank if open littil coolant come out this for breathing coolant back to resovor tank . earler morning you can make sure if cyl.head gasket is ok befor start open the resvor tank cap then start check if there is bubblescomes out .

95 gst leaking antifreeze from line to turbo . Car was overheating and antifreeze was spraying out but stopped and temp went back down


are u getting steam from your exhaust system if so you could have a blown gasket or cracked head on the exhaust side ive just had the same problem

easy job drain raditor,remove shroud remove fan,take off belt,take off hoses,remove the 4 bolts holding on the water pump scrape off old gaskets then put it all back together

99 cadillac deville overheating put in new radiator,thermostat,waterpump. it stays cool at idle for a hour running.drivin about 15-30 minutes it overheats. is not using hardly any coolant to speak of.
