Check the ground cable that bolts to the starter.if you have to,add another ground cable to the engine.it's not a power problem or it would not the light in the dash would not come on.

Its a alternator problem. The alternator is not putting out 14.2 volts and is probably just putting out about 12.5 which is enough to keep the car running but not enough to run all the accesories your running. Change it and youll be fine

It most certainly can be a power problem, its a bad idea to get into definites with the automotive industry. I would check the charging voltage of the alternator before proceeding, and be careful what the other so called techs suggest on this site

My 97' Neon's lights all went out in the back...

It sounds as though you may have a short. Fisrt I would suggest using a voltage meter on one of the sockects is out completely, if there is low/no voltage running through it I would then trace the wire harness from the dash back. it's possible that it was kinked or bent causing a break or short. I hope this helps =)

Speedometer of 2003 dodge neon does not work and gas gauge is jumpy. replaced 2 input and output vss sensors and still won't work. no codes show on scanner

some of these have had problems with the dash assembly causing alot of problems with gauges and lights and speedometers.if there are no codes in the computer and weren`t any before you replaced the vss sensors then you spent money you didn`t need to.
