Where is the transmission mount on a 1994 Chevrolet Corsica located located?

The transmission mount is located under the car between the transmission and the engine sub-frame. In order to access the mount you must be under the car, the mount is changed by raising the transmission off the mount once the retaining bolts are removed. Please use jack stands to secure car before starting work.

How do you change alternator on 1991 chevy corsica?

You have to take the serpentine belt off first, and then its just a bolt here and there and you'll have the old one out. They're a pain.

Transmission will disengage when turning a corner

Have your transmission fluid checked it sounds like the fluid is a little low .When this happens the fluid shifts away from the sump in the transmission and it will lose it's prime allowing the transmission to disengage .Sometimes it only take 1 quart low to make a difference:).

Check the crank sesor located on the back of the engine between the transmission tail and engine you may have to remove the thrans/motor supprot plate to see. that is the most common no start ploblem. If I may ask why did you change the timing chain?

88 Corsica Transmission Problem

It's possible a new filter and fluid may take care of this, check your transmission fluid for color,it should be clear and ruby red with now burnt smell. If its a reddish brown and cloudy definitely time for a transmission filter/fluid service.

Transmission fluid change intervals

Ya but if nissan planted filter's in there tansmission's then they would grow, right?NISSAN does not install filter's in the tran's.It is a permanent screen and luckily for people all I have to do is undo the plug from the pan and drain while hot, screw the screw the plug back in and funnel your new fluid back in to the tran from the dip stick tube(my 04 sentra 1.8s 4speed automatic takes 5 quart's but holds 6-type D nissan fluid from dealer, change about every 15 to 20 thousand miles to keep it clean and thin.Remember trans fluid is petroleum and get's hot burn's and thicken's making restriction's on rotating metal). My car has over 90,000miles and shift's perfect
