Question about 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab Laramie
2007 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 6.7 L diesel, I have had this in for this problem two times and each time they tell me they can't get it to do it for them. Called the Dodge service rep today, and he spoke with the dealership and they had their service manager to take a ride with me and he smelled it also. I'am to take it in for them to go throught it again Oct. 9th when they can keep it for several days to try and figure it out, It seems to happen after starting it up when it has sit for awhile, then driving at highway speeds for about 6 miles or so, then getting off the highway, and stopping at several stop lights or signs. And the it clears out as you get driving again. He said they hadn't heard of this problem before but I see here others have.
Check for a cracked fuel suply line, crack may expan with heat and leak fuel also check for a leaking transfer pump and filter seals
