They will reach a point where they will not operate at all. This id due to an open circuit in the headlight switch. If you replace the switch, your lights will function just as they were meant to. Thanks, Dana

Dash board lights flickering in my 96 jeep grand cherokee laredo


spray the slider that controls it with electrical contact cleaner and move it all the way up and down a couple of times. mine did the same and resolved it that way 3 months ago.

Sometimes my gas gage works on my 1996 jeep cherokee laredo and most of the time it doesn't. I also can not roll up the back window on the passenger side. Help Please


The master switch is the most likely cause for the window problem,and the fuel gauge is most likely the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank

Something could be draining the battery when the car is off.
Make sure no lights are left on.
Does it have lighted mirrors in the sun visor that are on?
Your problem with the a/c vents is vacuum. The car is losing it's vacuum supply and is defaulting to the defroster.
Check the vacuum resovoir.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Will Not Start or Run


they have crankshaft sencers on the transmission on jeeps. it would be up high on the drivers side on front of transmission. they will cause it to not get fuel or fire and can run then quit.
