Question about 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder Convertible

1 Answer

I have an 07 Gallardo that is not driven much. Maybe 500 per year. I was told that this could cause a problem with the emisions system pulse tube. Is that correct and what will happen if it fails? The car is started regularly to keep the battery charged as I do not have access to electricity where it is stored. How long should I leave it run and should I just take it out on the road for a short trip to keep it fresh. Also what is the best thing to do for the gas if anything? Keep tank full, near empty to keep gas fresh or put an additive in gas. Thanks, Bob

You should take it out for a run.this keeps all the mech parts lubricated. add a stabalizer to your fuel and keep your tank full to keep condensation from building up.condensation naturaly accurrs due to temp change.

Is there a way to fix the the turn signal chime and other various chimes on a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt LS, there is no sound from them as well as front speakers?

The audible warnings alert the driver of a system concern or a critical vehicle condition. The radio generates the audible warnings through the speaker. The radio receives audible warning requests via the serial data circuit. If the radio receives multiple audible warning requests, the warning with the highest priority sounds first. The following lists the audible warning priority and the pulse rate:
?€¢
Fast rate chime (200 pulses per minute)

?€¢
Medium rate chime (150 pulses per minute)

?€¢
Slow rate chime (50 pulses per minute)

I have a 19999 Mazda B2500. The idle is very rough and when you step on the gas pedal the engine surges between idle and about 1500 RPM. It can best be described as acting much the same as the governo

it sounds like a lambda sensor issue, the lambda sensor is located on the exhaust manifold, it controls the emisions, it also controls the air/fuel mixture to control the emisions, if it is faulty it could cause the engine to surge like you describe

I am told I need to replace my valve cover gasket and tube seals along with spark plugs and wires. What could cause this problem and how much should I be charged to have a mechanic fix it?

With every car, ages and milage driven will cause this, however with scheduled and proper oil change, outside condition, driving condition and amount of milage can help prevent this slower. Eventually heat/ and oil and nature will cause it to not function they way it is new. Cost wise depends on if you have a 4cy or a 6cy model. You will definitly be looking at a heavier cost with a 6 cylinder because of complication and laborwise. With a 4cy, Parts and labor could ring you up anywhere from 200-500.oo us dollar plus. With a 6cy, You can double that. Usually the parts are cheap, under 100.00 or so, but the labor... that will get you.

You cannot pull an aluminum frame without causing more structural damage .The damaged area needs to be cut out and replaced by a qualified shop with a jig to hold the vehicle. It is not something you leave to Billy Bobs body shop.

Secondary air injection system malfunction with the check engine light on. The 2001 olds has 89,000 miles and is in good running condition...no other problems with the car known. Had a tune-up less than...

Basically the secondary Air Injection Reactor system (AIR) forces frech air into the exhaust system to reduce HC and CO emissions. Thats why your failing its not doing its job.I'm not sure if you have a electric or belt driven pump ,or do you have the Pulse air system that uses natural pulses from the exhaust topull air into the exhaust system.
Let me know which system you have and I'll give you the testing procedure. This is a fairly easy fix.

Emision control does not pass inspection, vaporative system, and secondary air system not ready.

has the battery been disconnected, drained, or computer codes been cleared? all of these will erase readiness monitors in the computer and will have to be driven to reset it's hard to say how far because it varies on different vehicles

My 1992 500 wont go pass 25-30miles per hour

i would say check brakes first, make sure you dont have a sticking caliper. take off breaks press in caliper, if it wont go in replace the caliper, i would say your brake system would be making the sticking feeling and not the transmission from how you make it sound.
