Question about 2005 Scion xB
The 3 common things are,
.......a bad tire ( a bad belt in a tire or tires ).
.......a bent rim.
.......if at speeds over 20.....possibly the above plus wheel balance.
The uncommon things are,
......bad or seized CV joint.
......bent front suspension components ( and /or rotor hub assembly )

the manual says to do that?..flippin wierd...contact dealer for their finest tech to 'splain that one...never heard of such a thing.. rack could be failing or not getting enough pressure..pump weak or belt loose... strange... good luck
