98 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.9L The engine light is on, the antilock brakesystem light is on. speedometer and odometer do not work. The brake light is also on but the truck still stops just fine. im guessing its a sensor that went bad.

Hello, here is a specific describtion why brake light on is on.

If your odometer does not work, you can have a try of odometer correction tool.

possible RWAL sensor is bad, need to inspect for codes in antilock system, also after replacing sensor need to reprogram ratio using DRB3 chrysler scanner

I am having the same problem. I replaced the speed sensor on the rear diff. and the problem went away but when i started it the next day the problem came back. If you figure it out let me know.

Sounds as though you've lost a grounding point to the firewall. Check the flat uncoated braided wire that runs from the engine block to the firewall and check it for integrity.Shoud be tight and clean. Secondly if you can get your hand up behind the instument cluster try to push the main harness group in with your fingers.

you should have your vehicle scanned with OBDII.(on board diagnostics) . take it to a shop and tell them your engine light is on and they'll hook a computer to it and find out why
