How big is the battery terminal for a honda accord 4 door 1988???

There are two standards used for battery terminals....The standard and commonly use is Positive 18mm Negative 16mm. Japanese standard which is smaller, positive 13mm and negative 11mm....Most are tapered to allow for good connection....Replacement battery terminals are available. I'm just guessing that you've bought a replacement battery and discovered that the one you're replacing has the Japanese type and the one you've bought has the larger type?

Best way to replace an alternator on a 1988 honda accord

Disconnect battery.
Remove under engine shroud if it's still there.
The alternator is at the front of the engine down low on the radiator side.
Loosen drive belt, the alternator can be removed by patient use of a 14mm wrench, the wires should be removed before dropping the alternator out. Frankly I forget whether they are in a jack or screwed on.
It is necessary to turn the alternator sideways to get it out.
Have fun!

I have had the alternator replaced twice, but it wont hold a charge and keeps draining my battery. What else could be wrong?

First, make sure to check that the alternator is actually charging the battery. Then connect an ammeter between the battery lead and the battery (either one) and start checking for draw by removing fuses one by one till it goes away. Then go into that system to find the source of the problem. You did make sure that the battery is good?

1988 honda accord voltage regulator.Where is it located at?

The voltage regulator is probably in the alternator. I don't think nowdays you can buy voltage regulator separate. If the voltage regulator is bad, you'll need to buy an alternator.

New alternator and battery battery light stays on and car dies

Have you checked the alternator fuse? The regulator needs power from the fuse to turn on the alternator. The old alternator could have blown the fuse.
