The solenoid is attatched to your starter they are built as one, easier just to replace the whole starter

What could be the problem with my Ford 4000 tractor starting, I've checked the starter, cylinoid and battery?

Have you cleaned the battery cable connections? If they are dirty the battery can't put out enough current to turn the starter.

You turn the key and all that happens is a click the car is getting power fine however

It could be one of three problems.
1st is a low battery. have it checked.
2nd check the wire connected to the cylinoid on the starter under the truck. If that were is exposed to the elements it will rust and lose connectivity. Take a battery connector scrub brush and remove the rust. Take some battery protector gel and put on it. That will keep moisture from reforming
3rd is to put the key in the on position and use your jumper cables across the cylinoid by the battery. This bypasses the capacitor on the ignition system. If that works replace the cylinoid which runs about $8 from autozone.

Cylinoid installation

Starter Solenoid? It's not hard, unhook the battery and bolt it on. If you need to, draw a diagram of the wiring on a piece of paper to aid you in the install.

you can replace the cylinoid, but I prefer to change the whole thing specially that it seems like starter drag when you buy the new starter the cylinoid will be built on the new starter,if you change the cylinoid itself, and you still need a starter youll have to buy the starter and cylinoid as one unit, and they wont take the cylinoid back that you broke, but either way I would pull the starter and bring it down to an autozone and have it checked for free,if this helps please give me a fix ya
