2002 Ford Explorer back drivers side window will not go up

On my 2002 Explorer the drivers back window will not go either up or down. When you press the button you can hear the motor working but nothing happens. You can manually pull the window up and all the way down.

Take a test light to the motor connector and probe both wires and see if you have power on both sides. First press the botton up if power press down. if you have power than your window motor is bad or your elect repair is bad.leave comment.

WINDOW WILL NOT COME UP AFTER GOING DOWN.

Check the wiring located between the drivers door and body for broken wires. Pull back the black accordian style hose and pull on each wire hard. You will likely find a broken wire. You can fix it with a simple crimp style connector. Have patience, it is a small area to work in.

2002 Ford Explorer, rear driver side door

Wil it work at the door switch or not at either switch? If not make sure you have power and ground to the motor in up and down positions. if so suspect the motor. Also the cable operated regulators break and will not let the window go up or down

Check the fuse panel first, after that check your fuse relays under the hood, if not then it might be a wiring problem.

I have the identical problem. I am suspect of the drivers side master switch or the wiring harness but not sure any help would be appreciated.
