Start engine and measure voltage on both sides of fuse with fuse in place (pull fuse out a bit to get to the contacts). The reading must be the same on both sides (12 volts).

What makes the ecm fuse blow

The ECM fuse supply's battery voltage to more components then just the ECM . You have a short to ground on one of those circuits ,you need to find a power distribution diagram for that fuse an see what all it powers ! Then disconnect the other components or circuits till you find the one that is shorted !

Ecm fuse location 2001 chevy astro van

The power for the data link connector is from a 25amp fuse Number 7 in the IP fuse box. As long as the check engine light is on the computer has power.
The main computer power is from two ECM fuses in the box near the battery.
The fuse locations should be in the back of your owners manual.

ECM fuse keeps popping and fuel system don't work

There should be two ECM fuses. Number one powers the injectors and some of the solenoids along with the ECM. Number two or B powers the fuel pump relay and the rest of the ECM including the sensors that provide data to the ECM. Both are 10amp circuits.
You may need to get a shop manual to have the wiring diagrams to troubleshoot the circuits.

I replaced the fuel pump relay, noticed that i had a blown fuse marked ecm. repaced that.ran truck for around 20 min.turned off. when i went to start again it wouldnt. looked at that same 20 amp fuse

There are two ECM fuses - marked ecm 1 and ecm B.
ECM B powers the fuel pump and the Veh control module which handles most of the sensors.
ECM 1 powers the ignition module, coil, injectors and the rest of the engine sensors.
You may need a repair book with diagrams to check all of the circuits for shorts.

pull switch if no power back track to find open if power switch is bad the a/c relay runs the compressor a/c fuse powers relay fuse is powered by the ecm , ecm gets command from control switch, ecm reads all input and powers relay to send voltage to compressor. wire should go back to fuse box and be hot with key on.

No spark, no power to fuel pump, whole cuicuit no power.

It sounds like you may have either a ECM problem or a bad ignition switch either problem will cause you to have no power to your coil or your fuel pump. The first thing I would do is check the ECM fuse. It might be labeled ECU or ECM in your fuse panel. If you don't have a blown ECM fuse then I would look into the other two things. I hope this helps you out.

I would like a diagram for my ecmb fuse for a 1992 s10 blazer 4x4 4.3 litre engine

Hi, the ECM B fuse powers the ECM and the fuel pump. It's hard to say where the ECM power is used, since it appears as a black box in the schematic. The fuse box or owner's manual may indicate circuits that the fuse powers thru the ECM. If you find you need additional diagrams, please let me know and please specify if you have the VIN W (central point injection) or the VIN Z (throttle body injection) engine.
