Heater blower only works on high

Your heater resistor is bad. I have had this happen several times to my vehicle. You can get a new one from Auto Zone for about 23$. The bigger problem is the motor though. The blower motor is has a resistance issue and that is why the resistor goes bad. I replaced my resistor several times before figuring it out. The new resistor will work for awhile but eventually will go bad again unless you replace the blower motor.

How to bleed heater core 2004 dodge stratus

Easiest way is to turn the heater on full blast with high heat let run for 15 minutes or until normal operating temp. Once engine cools add coolant to specified mark. Repeat if necessary.

The heater in my 2004 dodge stratus doesn't blow out hot air while idling, but it does when driving. Could this be the thermostat?

Most of the time this (no heat at idle/heat when driving) is an indication of low radiator fluid. Check the fluid level while the engine is cold and on with the heater on high.

2004 dodge stratus heater/ac issues

I had the same problem with my '97 Stratus. There is a large resistor in the fan motor circuit that has died and needs to be replaced. It's well up under the dash, behind the glove box if I recall correctly, so unless you are a contortionist and have the tools, have a shop replace it.
