Question about 1983 Pontiac Grand Prix

2 Answers

Cannot locate the fuse box in a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix. Dash lights aren't working, but I cannot find where the fuses are located. Checked under the hood, under the dash, and in the glove box. Help! Note: The menu doesn't go back to 1976. I had to check 1983 below, but it is a 1976.

Hi there,

Your fuse box is located under the dash right by your left knee. There should be a panel covering it that just screw off. Then inside your '76 you will find a panel of Buss fuses. That is where there are located. By the way the flasher for you lights is mounted right in there also.

Good luck

Pont Grand Prix; has 16 pin DRL module, fuse removes DRLs and Auto-ON (there is also a fuse for air bags, SRS)
believe most recent GM models (99+), use a VCR tape sized DRL module that will be under the dash, behind radio, glove box, over pedals, etc are typical locations for your car in various years.. There are two 8 pin connectors to it

I cannot locate my fuse box, 96 pontiac grand prix. I looked on both dash ends by the doors, under the driver and pass dash, as well as under the hood.

i looked it up and from the picture, it looks like the fuse box is below the drivers dash, on the left side behind a wall panel near the floor next to the black foot rest thing. try and look there

The turn singles in my 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix do not work. We have checked the fuses, they are all good and they all get power. If we turn on a singal the green arrow does not light up and the flasher...

Replace the flasher, they are very reasonable. It is located under the dash usually near the steering column. Buy a new one so you can recognize it when you search for it under the dash.

It's under the hood, on the driver's side, under a square, black box with a lightning symbol on it. Loosen the flower-shaped screw that holds the lid of the box down, remove the lid, flip it upside down and when you look at the inside of the lid, you'll see a map of all your car's fuses. There's also a fuse diagram on the very end of the dash, but it's accessible only when you open the driver's side door. When you're driving, that end of the dash is blocked by the closed door.

Fog lights don't work

First need to test for power at a fog light. If no power, then I would check fuses. there will be a fuse box under hood and one under the dash. Take a test light and test all fuses on both sides of each fuse. Could be called running lights, aux lights, driving lights, etc. Any fuse that does not have power on both sides is suspect. Note: the headlight fuses cannot be checked unless the headlights are turned on. the owners manual will also tell you the location of the fuse box and which fuse in the box to test. Could also have a relay that has failed , it will be in the underhood fuse box.

Heater stopped working on a 1994 pontiac grand prix

look in the glove compartment on left hand side should be a little door. if not it would be under the dash board by the brake peddle. if not there, look under the hood for the relay.
